At the foot of Else Kuala Lumpur sits RAW a dining-living hall reserved for the vibrant and curious. An extension of the diverse neighbourhood, the restaurant’s menu adds flair to the Chinatown fare, drawing inspiration from Asian & Latin flavours to reveal layers of tantalising simplicity and bold tastes.

THE STORY

Else is our response to a new breed of explorers. People who journey to appreciate a foreign land and culture, but also relish stillness, reflection and self-discovery. Their RAW food concept is created out of the idea of sharing flavours, sounds, & memories. It’s an extension of the diverse neighbourhood, drawing inspiration from simple Asian & Latin flavours. A shared dining experience reserved for the vibrant and curious.

THE AMBIENCE

Upon the opening of Else's large doors, you immediately arrive into a perfectly designed dining hall with rich textures and tones making you drift away to mid-century Manhattan. A space filled with stunning green marbles, vibrant velvets, woven rattans, daring leathers, and a variety of captivating stone textures that come together to create a truly unique and inviting atmosphere.

The space available had two seating options for us to choose from, ensuring we could each find comfort in our dining experience. Closer to the window, we were enveloped in a fresher, brighter kind of interior setup, allowing natural light to dance across the room. In contrast, the area around the bar exuded a cozy atmosphere with its warmer, darker tones, creating a distinct ambiance that was both inviting and intimate.

THE MENU

In Chef Leong Chee Mun's skilled hands, the kitchen churns out not just comfort food, but dishes that seamlessly blend refinement with innovation. Inspired by the eclectic vibrancy of the neighbourhood, the restaurant's menu offers flavours with a fusion of Asian and Latin influences. From Japanese Oysters, Cauliflower Tacos, Beetroot Buratta as sharing plates to Crispy Whole Seabass, Nam Jim Octopus and Gorganzola Gnocci for the table, a unique blend of diverse flavours is what truly thrives at Raw Kitchen Hall. After dark, enjoy their collection of modern classic cocktails and carefully chosen organic wines, perfect for nights of interesting conversations.

Marc Nagel, the Director of Food and Beverage, leads a team focused on creating memorable dining experiences. RAW features music that enhances the atmosphere, offering a menu for enjoyable gatherings—perfect for making lasting memories.
